Chemex 8-Cup Coffee Maker

Total Brew Time: 6-7 Minutes

NEEDED COMPONENTS

• Water Kettle
• Scale
• Chemex unit & filter
• 800g water
• 50g of coffee (ground medium)
  – You can adjust the amounts, but we like a 16:1 starting ratio of water to coffee

BREWING

Remember to place the Chemex on a scale during brewing and zero/tare the scale.

1. Insert filter into the top of the Chemex
2. Pre-soak the filter with hot water, then discard water
3. Place your coffee grounds in the filter
4. Ensure water is between 195-205F, just below boiling
5. Pour about 100g of water over the grounds to Bloom (30 sec)
6. Then pour about 200g every minute until finished. Total brew time between 6-7min
